Here's what we did in class today:
We learned how to write a body paragraph. In order to write an effective paragraph, follow the format:
Topic sentence- a claim that outlines your argument.
Example #1--A strong example that you analyze to prove your claim.
A transition sentence that links example #1 to example #2
Example #2--A second strong example that you analyze to prove your claim.
A concluding sentence that restates your claim and summarizes your main ideas.

After reviewing the format in class and looking at a few examples, students wrote one together.
