Objective:
Why do we use doppelgangers in literature and what do they show us about being human?
1- Each student read a Calvin and Hobbs comic using an example of Doppelgangers. In groups, they discussed the connections they found with "Jekyll and Hyde"
2-We read the lyrics and listened to the song "Bad Body Double" by Imogen Heap. Students created a T-Chart where they compared/contrasted the song with the novel.
3- We discussed WHY Stevenson would write Jekyll and Hyde and WHY he used a doppelganger to express his ideas.
