Objective: To understand how prejudice, discrimination, and stereotyping affect our lives and the lives of others around us.
1- Began class with a mock apprentice type game- Students had to "fire" someone each round based on superficial information.
2- Defined Prejudice, discrimination, stereotyping
3- Watched a clip from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets to look for examples of the three definitions-- Lucious treats Arthur Weasley bad because he is poor and associates with muggles.
4-Read the lyrics to "carefully taught" and answer questions
5- Look at a riddle that deals with stereotypes
