Objective: Why are books important and how do they empower us?
What we did in class today:
1- Group Activity- Read "The Librarian of Basra" and discuss the importance of books.
2- Connect reading books to our own lives and how books contain knowledge which gives us power.
3- Students went to writing lab 608 to check out Fahrenheit 451
4- As a class, we read and discussed pages 3-20

Homework: Read pages 21-40 and mark 5 sticky notes where a character breaks their typical routine.
