Objective: What is a dystopian novel and why do we read them?
Here's what we did in class today:
1- Defined Uthopia and Dystopia- looked at characteristics of both
2- Art activity- The rise and fall of Mankind through the ages
3- Looked at/discussed examples of dystopian literature and movies
4- Watched a 5 minute clip from Wall-E and analyzed what the clips warns us about
5- Watched Hunger Games trailer- Discussed how the Hunger Games qualifies as a dystopian novel
Writing prompt: what from today's lesson makes you excited about starting a dystopian novel (Fahrenheit 451) next time.
