3 Late passes up for grabs!!! Per Period!!! Do I have your attention? If you are fortunate enough to be reading this post, that means you have a chance at winning another late pass for Term 3. For every ten cans of food you bring for the food drive (max 30 cans), you get your name entered into a drawing for your period. On Thursday, I will draw three names from your class and the winners get late passes. :) This expires Thursday. This also rewards those who read the blog daily.
If you want your cans to also go towards the March Madness bracket as announced in class, these need to be in tomorrow (wed) or early Thursday morning.
K now to class business- what we did today:
In class we looked at example thesis statements and paper outlines. We realized that not every point has to prove your exact thesis but rather relate to the overall argument you are making. We also realized that some papers will have more body paragraphs than others. You earned 10 points for doing this assignment in class. If you were absent, you aren't required to make it up, you just don't get those points. (they don't hurt you either)
Homework: TWO copies of your typed thesis/outline and examples (support, quotes, references) The more time you spend on this assignment, the better you will do on your overall paper. This I promise.
