Here's what we did in class today:
1- Took a quiz on chapter 6
2- Broke into small groups.
- Each group was assigned a symbol: Piggy's glasses, the conch, the fire, The beast, Piggy, Ralph, and Jack.
- Each group became an expert on that symbol, creating a visual for the rest of the class to understand.
- Each group taught the rest of the class about their symbol
1-Read chapter 7 and 8.
2- Write a one page, double-space personal response (using mla format--times new roman, 12 font) describing your reaction to the boys' digression in the novel. Why are things not working for them as a society? Focus on using specific examples from the text. DO NOT SUMMARIZE THE TWO CHAPTERS OR YOU WILL BE DOCKED. Remember that I want YOUR ideas, not a summary.
